These are honestly the easiest thing you will ever make. My kids (and Kevin!) are always excited when I make them.
This recipe serves 3-4 if you are serving 2 sides or with a salad.
Eat them alone as is or add your favorite dipping sauce. I like bbq sauce, ranch, hot sauce or toss in hot wing sauce for a lower calorie version of your fried favorite.
If you don’t have a good broiler stop now this recipe is not for you. Broiling at the end is a key part of this recipe to crisp the skin.
2 packages organic chicken wings (I like Bell and Evans)
I am not giving you an exact measurement because there isn’t one in terms of Salt. If you know how to season meet this is simple. If you don’t the salt should coat both sides but not aggressively.
Fresh cracked black pepper
Preheat oven 375 (convection roast or bake). Rinse and pat dry chicken wings between paper towels (I’ve heard both sides of this story...to rinse or not to rinse your chicken. I choose to rinse mine.)
Place dried wings in a large bowl and sprinkle the wings generously with JF Salt mixture and fresh cracked pepper. I use my hands to toss them and coat them evenly. Wash hands with soap and water then sprinkle again with salt until all wings are coated with seasoning.
Place wings side by side not overlapping on a large nonstick broiler pan. My favorite is this one Nonstick Broiler Pan
Once in tray I sprinkle a tad more of the JF Salt mixture on top
Bake for 15 minutes on 375 then turn to max broil to brown and crisp the skin. Watch them very closely and turn every few minutes till desired color is achieved.
Serve immediately. Try not to eat them all at once.
