Baked Jicama Fries

BAKED JICAMA FRIES

These work perfectly as a low carb side and are so delicious during the chilly, winter months. Enjoy with your dipping sauce of choice. 

INGREDIENTS:

1 jicama, peeled and cut into sticks
1 Tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garlic powder
I tsp onion powder
½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper
½ tsp JF Spicy Salt or JF Universal Salt

PROCESS:

Preheat oven to 440°. Peel and slice your jicama and place in a large bowl
Add oil and spices. Toss well with tongs, as the turmeric stains.

 

Place the fries on a parchment lined baking sheet. Do not crowd them or they will not get crunchy. Bake for approximately 30 minutes then flip and continue baking for another 20-30 minutes. 

 

Serve with ranch, low sugar BBQ sauce, mustard, low sugar ketchup, sweet chili sauce or hot sauce.
