JF EVERYTHING SEED CRACKERS

My JF Seed Bread was such a hit that I knew I needed to try a cracker version. I finally perfected the recipe and these crackers can be customized anyway you desire. Serves 4.

INGREDIENTS:

2 Tbsp poppy seeds
2 Tbsp onion powder or dried minced onion (preferred)
2 Tbsp garlic powder or dried minced garlic (preferred)
1 C raw sunflower seeds
1/2 C pumpkin seeds
1/2 C sliced almonds
1/3 C chia seeds
1/3 C hemp hearts
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
1/3 C flax
1/2 C psyllium husk
1 1/2 tsp JF Spicy Salt
Drizzle of olive oil
1 3/4 C water, boiled 
 
Note to Make Alternate Flavors:
Cumin Flavored:
Add 1 tsp Cumin
 
Taco Flavored:
Add 1 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning
 
Curry Flavored:
Substitute JF Curry Salt for JF Spicy Salt

PROCESS:

Preheat your oven to 350º. In a large bowl, combine the poppy seeds, dried minced onion, dried minced garlic, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sliced almonds, chia seeds, hemp hearts, sesame seeds, flax, psyllium husk, and JF Spicy Salt. Pour the boiling water over the seed mixture and combine really well. Spread the mixture onto one large baking sheet. Use a piece of parchment paper to press down the mixture until it is evenly distributed. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven and use a pizza cutter to slice into whatever shape you desire, I do squares. Separate the cut ‘crackers’ onto two separate baking sheets. Bake these at 350º for 5-10 more minutes until you reach your desired crispness. Once cooled completely store in an airtight container.
