My kids love ahi tuna tartar, and it is part of my new clean eating diet. This is so simple to make just be sure to get sushi grade tuna. Serves 4.
1 organic sushi-grade ahi tuna steak, chopped into small pieces
2 Tbsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp scallions, chopped
JF Spicy Salt, to taste
2 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
1 avocado, diced into small pieces
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
In a large bowl, combine the chopped ahi tuna, avocado, scallions, and fresh ginger. Lightly mix together. Drizzle the sesame oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice over this. Season with JF Spicy Salt
. Top with fresh chopped cilantro and serve with tortilla chips.
